I was delightfully surprised that this film did not live up to the nasty reviews. The characters were instantly likable, exhibiting a chemistry that made them believablea tight-knit group. The plot moved at an entertaining pace and, though mildly predictable, contained enough twists and turns to make me regret ordering that large soda at the concession stand. A skilled special effects team managed to keep the scenes believable without transforming them into the epic CG scenes that can tragically lengthen even the best sci-fi films. Overall, a truly entertaining movie, a must-see for anyone looking for a little bit of mindless entertainment.
Why waste a good idea? The makers of Stealth clearly adhere to this philosophy, hence the fact that this movie "borrows" liberally from Top Gun, 2001, Rambo, Firefox, Terminator, and a wide variety of other movies.<br/><br/>The joins are visible.<br/><br/>There are lots of explosions, exotic scenery and Jessica Biel in a bikini. Those are the good points.<br/><br/>As for the rest of it - well, it ain't Shakespeare. It is dumb and, in its own way, fun.<br/><br/>I enjoyed it. But I'm not a fussy person.
Though Stealth's strengths are obvious – high-tech marvels and a good cast – so are its flaws. At its worst moments, a mad robot seems to have taken over the movie, too.
Their is no official service wide policy in effect in peacetime. Whether or not officers and enlisted personnel wear dress uniform, uniform of the day or civilian clothing to frequent bars and nighclubs while overseas and off duty. Then it is always up to the discretion of the commanding officer of each command/unit/ship/submarine to set forth the uniform of the day requirements regarding how service members will be attired while off duty and mixing with the local civilian population. Keep in mind that whenever in uniform American service members are representing their nation and should always be on their best behavior. While stationed in the USA then uniform requirements are often relaxed for local commands including those stationed in Alaska and Hawaii. For naval personnel, dress whites are always difficult to keep clean the majority of the time.
